The Tenth Annual Tour is Coming!

Announcing the 10th Annual Walpole Artisans Tour:
10am-5pm -- Friday/Saturday/Sunday
November 23rd/24th/25th, 2012

The Walpole Artisans are proud to announce their 10th Annual Open Studio Tour the weekend immediately following Thanksgiving: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10am-5pm. The starting point of the tour will be the Walpole Artisans Cooperative Gallery located on 52 Main Street in downtown Walpole, across from Burdick's Restaurant. The Artisans Cooperative is a gallery founded by local artists who view art as a joy to make and a gift to be shared.  Here you will find art that catches your eye, feathers your nest, adorns your body, and warms your heart.  Discover unique gifts, innovative wearables, beautiful home furnishings, handcrafted greetings, and much more.  The Artisans will be featuring a raffle give-away with two $25.00 Gift Certificates as prizes--good towards merchandise at the Cooperative.  Pick up a map and start your Artisan Tour at our Cooperative Gallery in Walpole!

The 10th annual Walpole Artisan Tour will feature a few 'hub' locations this year, getting more 'bang for your buck' and saving a few of those precious gallons of gas, at: David Howell's studio on Old Keene Road in Walpole, NH; Bill Shannon's studio on Barnett Hill Road, also in Walpole; Bob Taylor Welding in Alstead, NH; as well as 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, VT--the location of the Sherwin Art Glass Studio & Gallery--where several artists will be exhibiting their work in the communal Big Room.  We have two new artisans joining us this year: Alan Palmer, who works with graphite, and Randy Hicks, a wood carver.  Come experience art in all its diversity during the 10th Annual Walpole Artisan Tour.  Follow the map and signs to the artisans' exhibiting locations.  The artisans will be available to discuss their work, and some will be demonstrating throughout the Tour--Chris Sherwin will be doing hot glass demonstrations, Randy Hicks will be doing wood carving, and Joe Beer will be painting--at 33 Bridge Street.  You will also be able to find the perfect gifts for the holidays: paintings, photography, metal and wood sculpture, pottery, hand-sculpted and blown glass, fabrics, furniture, textile art, handmade cards, jewelry and more, all locally handcrafted!

For more information stop by The Walpole Artisans Cooperative, now open from Tuesday, 11-2:30pm, Wednesday – Saturday, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, 11am-4pm or call us at 603-756-3020.  Tour Maps are located at the Cooperative and around the Walpole and Greater Falls area.

New Members are being accepted for the Cooperative. Local and Regional artists are accepted through a juried process. Interested artisans should visit our website, contact the Cooperative at (603) 756-3020, or stop in during business hours to pick up an application.  We are located at 52 Main Street, Walpole, NH.
